ManyChat pricing is easy to misunderstand because two pricing systems can apply in 2026. Newer accounts may see the Free, Essential, Pro, Business, and Advanced plans based on monthly Active Contacts. Accounts created before March 2, 2026 may still remain on the older contact-tier pricing model.

ManyChat states that plan availability can vary by region and that older accounts may not yet be able to switch. That means a price shown in somebody else's screenshot may not match the plans available inside your account.

The newer Free plan includes up to 25 Active Contacts per month, one user, one Inbox seat, up to two supported social channels, and four live automations.

It can run comment, follow, story, DM, FAQ, link-delivery, and basic resource automations. The first message to a contact includes ManyChat branding.

For a fitness coach, the free plan is enough to learn the builder and test a small campaign. Twenty-five Active Contacts is a low ceiling for any account receiving consistent engagement.

Pro is the level most fitness coaches will compare against specialized automation software. It includes 2,500 Active Contacts per month, unlimited advanced automations, AI-powered automation, API access, custom labels and rules, and broader integrations.

The monthly overage is $0.05 per Active Contact above 2,500. The annual option is billed upfront at an advertised equivalent of $29 per month and has a $0.038 overage rate.

Pro allows three users, two included Inbox seats, and up to three connected channels. An additional Inbox seat costs $25 per month.

Business is aimed at teams and high-volume operations. It includes 7,500 Active Contacts per month, five users, three Inbox seats, unlimited channels, lead routing, advanced Inbox controls, and deeper team workflows.

Monthly overage is $0.025 per additional Active Contact. The annual option is billed upfront at an advertised equivalent of $69 per month and lists a $0.018 overage rate.

Most solo fitness coaches will not need this level unless their engagement volume is high or several people manage live conversations.

Advanced is designed for enterprise-scale messaging. It includes 25,000 Active Contacts, ten users, five Inbox seats, unlimited channels, and higher-scale API and team capabilities.

The listed monthly overage begins at $0.004 per additional Active Contact, with lower average rates possible at higher usage. The annual option is billed upfront at an advertised equivalent of $139 per month and lists overage from $0.0028.

This plan is not a realistic starting point for the typical independent coach, but it matters for agencies, franchises, and large creator businesses.

The correct estimate starts with monthly engaged contacts, not followers. These examples use the newer monthly pricing and ignore tax.

A coach with 100 Active Contacts can use Essential for $17 monthly. A coach with 600 Active Contacts fits inside Pro at $39. A coach with 3,000 Active Contacts could remain on Pro and pay about $64 for the month: $39 plus 500 overage contacts at $0.05 each. At 8,000 Active Contacts, Business would be about $111.50: $99 plus 500 contacts at $0.025.

Those calculations are examples, not a recommendation. The better plan depends on AI, channel, user, Inbox, integration, and workflow requirements as well as contact volume.

The subscription is only one part of the operating cost. ManyChat is a builder, so the business must also account for the time or service required to design, test, and maintain the flow.

Calendar booking, booking-status updates, CRM synchronization, advanced attribution, email, SMS, or custom logic can require additional tools or implementation. Taxes can also appear based on billing location.

None of these costs makes ManyChat a poor choice. They simply determine whether the platform remains cheaper than a specialized tool after the entire workflow is built.
